LA One Million Trees

What Matters

Maintaining a healthy environment is critical to a creating a sustainable future for our children, and our natural world is a key part of making that future a reality.

We partnered with the City of Los Angeles to implement a comprehensive campaign to plant a million trees within the city. The intent was to raise awareness of the project with consumers interested in volunteering and contributing to the effort. The program was projected to save over $1.3billion in air quality issues for the local economy

For six years, JacobsEye produced an awards show for the Challenge which included show production and writing; talent management; sponsor sales; public relations and social media marketing; and advertising in a wide variety of media types.

The One Million Tree Challenge has far exceeded initial projections with two million trees planted to date. The program has generated 40,000 volunteer requests and created over $10 million in media value. The City of Los Angeles was awarded the “Outstanding Achievement Award” by the Environmental Protection Agency for its efforts with the project.
